“I thought you had a meeting today?” Ava asked looking at the time. It was 5.45pm.

“I do,”

“Well shouldn’t you be there?”

“Probably should…” I replied, going through the draft copy of the web page so far… I needed to concentrate…

“I’ve given the keys to Nat so they can go and start off, we’ll go as soon as we’re done.” I added, scrolling down to the end.

“We?”

“Yeah, you need to be there when I explain this to them… or maybe you’ll have to do it all alone while I make some calls,” I said in a tone she couldn’t argue. I don’t think anyone would dare to right now… I am tired, frustrated, sleepy and out of time! I haven’t had any sleep, been on cafeen all day, done half of the work I should have and told off at least 7 people.

Hmm… so the web page is going to be black, with white writing and red headings. It will have an activities page, photos, blog, members, and students, talk page, videos, in charges, ideas and up-coming events. So far, that’s it. I went through my notes that had descriptions of every page.

“Ava, type these up under their headings while I go call St.Peter’s principle and Nat.” I said and stood up.

“In what?” She asked.

“In what?” What kind of question is that??

“I mean…”

“Oh, of course, I guess… use italic or cursive font and make it an orangey peachy shade… lightest red… I’ll be back,” and I left before she asked something else!

Hopefully, this time I will be able to get in touch with the principle, how busy can one possibly be? What is he like the priminister or something? I’ve been trying for 3 days!

What am I meant to do? Great, so just write it all up is that all? I just don’t want to piss her off. She seems so tired and frustrated right now. Poor girl. Usually Rose is the sweetest girl you can come across, no matter how bad your day has been she will give you a smile and make everything fine… and today she’s just going right off! So I want to get this right… I guess I’ll start from the top!

“Ava is going to show you everything we’ve done today… see that till I go and freshen up.” I said, 10 minutes after walking into my apartment. Everyone was already here, except Maria she probably was just on her way. I had absolutely no energy left. None what so ever. So glad my apartment looked livable, thanks to Nat. “It’s just a draft copy, feel free to give suggestions or change anything you want to…” I said, still looking at all of them. “Umm… please listen to Ava while she talks, I know how you guys can be… we’ve had a long day so it would be nice if everyone just let her speak about the website… and Andre will Introduce her to you right now…” I said and walked inside my room and shut the door. Should have probably asked Andre 1^st if he could introduce Ava to everyone, but I really didn’t want No for an answer so I didn’t take my chance.

I didn’t even kiss Conner when I came in… god I must have lost it. I just remember seeing Nat in the kitchen just a few minutes back and that’s it… I guess I’ll speak to him when I go back out… he probably knows just how tired I am. All I want to do is wash my face, change my clothes and fall onto my bed and sleep the evening away and wake up tomorrow! “24 hours are too long…” I whispered to myself and sat down on the bed as my door slowly opened and Conner came in.

“Hey Jaanu…” I said just turning my head around to face him. I didn’t have enough energy to turn my entire body around or walk over there.

“Hey Rose… Aww babe you seem tired… you shouldn’t stress yourself out so much,” He said walking over to the bed. “You can only do one thing at a time… give yourself some rest.” He whispered and massaged my shoulders. I let them lose and closed my eyes. “Sleep early tonight… no staying up or computer or anything. Please sweetheart.”

“Alright… I promise,” Mmmm I was ready to agree to anything as long as he didn’t stop the massage. I needed this so bad… “I’ll have dinner and sleep once everyone’s gone.”

“I’ll make sure everyone is quiet today. No jokes or loud voices… just take care of yourself.” He added. “How was your day?”

“It was long, and busy. The website’s coming along all right so far. Probably needs many changes… I still have so many more things to do. I called up the principle again today but he wasn’t there so I left another message! I don’t think he will ever get back. Maybe I should go over there again!”

“Wow, darling, slow down… get everything else done 1^st… and your priority needs to be resting. I’ll take care of the rest. We all are here to do those things. Nat can help. Maria is there, Andre, Jake… now we even have Ava… so please don’t worry so much,” I opened my eyes and turned around to look at him. He knew what I was thinking… despite of all these people being here, none of them were going to get anything done with me pushing them all to do it. They need to be forced and reminded about their responsibilities… so really, I need to worry… and we both knew that. But I didn’t mention it… I just simply smiled and turned back, making the most of my amazing massage…

“Sorry I made you have a late night yesterday… I should have picked a better day to tell you about the gig,”

“Shut up Conner… you know it meant a lot to me… just as much as it means to you! Please don’t say that…” I said and shrugged a little as his hands moved away from my shoulder. I can’t believe he would say that. This meant so much to me… I was so happy and excited… I’ve just had a long day! That’s it; he can’t just always say such things… I refuse to say anything!

Conner wrapped his arms around my waste and leaned his chin on my shoulder as I felt his hair brush my cheeks. He held me back closer and tighter and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry…”

Aww… that’s so sweet. “It’s okay Jaanu… just please don’t act like important things don’t matter to me…” I said and turned slightly to face him and kissed him lightly on his cheeks, then moved to his lips.

“Pakka!” He said and kissed me back. Pakka means promise in Hindi… Conner and I use Hindi words every now and then in our conversations. It’s just so cute the way he says them. I love his accent. The way he has his unsure expression and yet tries his best. It’s adorable.

I suddenly had the urge for chocolate. Yes. I know it’s very random and I may just be turning into Riley but I needed it. I leaned forward and opened the drawer… a box of Lindts Milk Chocolates, perfect. I took out a red one and unwrapped it. “You’ll have one?” I asked, even though I knew he isn’t a chocolate fan. As I thought so, he said no. That’s another great thing about being with Conner isn’t it? He doesn’t adore chocolates, and I do. So we’re great… because he gives them all to me. I don’t know if I could ever stand being around a guy who loved chocolates. He wouldn’t let me have them all. I turned to face him and smiled and dipped the chocolate in the Melted Choco Dip on my side table and ate it.

“You’ve got some on your lips…” Conner said, smiling at me like it was cute. He leaned closer and kissed me. “It’s gone…” Aww… I’m so glad I didn’t ask where… he had this unsure look on his face. “At 2^nd thought, I think I like the chocolate…” He said, trying to remember the taste. “Or maybe it’s just you…” He whispered as our lips met. If Conner would be this romantic every time I ate chocolate, I’d have them twice as much and become very fat. But I don’t mind, as long as he’s like this every time I have one. Because I really like it! I pushed myself back and rested my head on the pillow, beneath Conner’s body. He pulled me up closer with his hand behind my neck as we kissed. Slowly all the noises outside faded away and I couldn’t even remember why I was feeling tired earlier…

[Mobile Ring tone]

It was my phone; so I tried to ignore it, you know, act like it wasn’t ringing!

“Babe you should take that…” Conner said slowly backing away.

“Cant I just ignore it?” I asked as he picked my cell up from the side table. Private number. I hate mobiles. In fact I hate phones. Who ever invented them had obviously never been in a heated moment!

“Hello,” He said, answering the phone. I just stared at him; amazed he’s still mine. Even the way he says hello is so damn attractive. His voice… his attitude… I just want to be here and look at him all day.

“Yup this is Roses’ mobile. Who’s this?” He continued talking, as I continued staring… wondering why he isn’t with some other hottie. He’s got so much class! He’s just a dream guy.

“Oh… uh yeah she’s right here Sir. One minute.” He said, getting off of me onto the other side of the bed. I got up too, wondering whom it was.

“It’s the St.Peters’ Principle!!” He said with his hand on the receiver. I jumped up from the bed and took the phone from Conner’s phone and straightened my t-shirt.

“Hi sir. It’s Rose,” I said; finally glad to have gotten in touch with him! Conner opened my door and went outside, probably to ask everyone to keep it low because I was on the phone. An important call. One I’d been trying to make for weeks!

“Yeah of course.” Rose said on the phone as she entered the hall. She was on the phone to the Principle of St.Peters, so I’ve been told. “I’ll make sure of that…” She continued talking in pin drop silence as we all stared at her. We really want this ball! Well, the girls want it because Peter’s boys are cute and guys want it because the peters girls will be there too! Now we just have to wait till she is off the phone.

“No, not at all. You don’t have to say that…” I wish she would say a bit more then just that, so we would have an idea of what was happening! “Oh… yeah sure not a problem… thanks for calling back,” Her voice suddenly went down. From excited to curious to impatient it was now low! Which to me doesn’t seem like a good sign. Nat nudged me from the side.

“What do you recon Riley?” She whispered.

“Not a clue… we’ll see,” I said, turning back to the conversation on the phone.

“Oh, yeah sure… I’ll do that. Thanks,” she said and hung up.

“Well?” Andre asked, waiting for some kind of reaction from her.

“Ah, he was… yeah… seemed busy…” She said, looking around the room at all of us. “He said that… that he doesn’t mind!” He – what? Oh my god!

“Woo hooo!” screamed a girl from behind. I guess every one is happy ey?

“All thanks to you Rose!” Andre said with thumbs up. I guess it was all Rose’s doing. She had put in a lot of effort. Along with Nat…

“Thanks guys… Nat helped a lot… so now we should start discussing this idea more so I can call him up later this week itself and let him know all the details!” She added, suggesting us to get right at it. It was a good idea.

Great idea in fact… I don’t mind whatever we’re doing as long as I’m busy. I want to keep occupied. I just wish I could forget this letter and everything else would be fine. Ugh, I just want to get him out of my head for good. But why cant I? Especially now that he has sent this letter to me and all, I should just get it over and done with. Why should I care? I shouldn’t, I don’t! Like I haven’t got enough on my mind with my so-called boyfriend… now I have to go through this stuff. Not done. I so need to talk to someone about this… I can never keep things inside me, I have to talk to someone… and that’s always Rose but I don’t want to bother her this time. She doesn’t even know about any of this… I haven’t had a chance to ever mention it. She seems so tired and worn out, poor girl has enough on her mind. She’s basically managing this entire thing! She has her studies and her own relationship to take care of… and plus, she seems happy; I don’t want to ruin it for her.
